Thanks Fool Zero for the valueable comments. You point about the exact citation was a good one and made me research more. And now I have found a connection between these words and Sadi's verses in Gulistan:

This book named "In Sadi's rose garden" was privately published by John Terry White in 1907 for his friends. You can find this verse at the bottom of the left page. A beautiful book by John T. White nevertheless and you will find a lot of other great verses. So I think the lines cannot be directly attributed to Sadi, but the theme definitely relates to the meassage of Sadi.
