After stabilization, his SSP--Social Service Provider--will be able to help him with the availability of community services in your area and the possibility of applying for disability.

As Micah pointed out, his age may affect your being able to get information on his condition. His privacy will be protected...it does not mean you will not be able to get information.
There are people who will help you in this situation. With not knowing more details, it's hard to do anything more than generalization. If you are his legal guardian, for instance, if he is not a minor then you will have more access to information.
Contacting the nearest NAMI will most likely give you good information on how to proceed...

Please remember to take care of yourself, too.
Your son is in good hands; take time for yourself. With all you have been through, you are probably physically and emotionally exhausted...
