Thanks very much for that research ellimay, makes me feel better, it is a laugh really.
As for my notorious theory about feminism making us dumber as a species it was not especially serious, (this can be unclear on the net)
I was responding to your comments salukigirl that women instinctively seek rich providers, men seek submissive nuturers, which seemed to fit with the theory that men seek women poorer than them & women seek men richer than them.
As women get richer there are fewer (richer) men to choose from & fewer(poorer) men will be interested in them.
All the single men I know are dirt poor, all the the single women I know are middle class (although they are older, they bred when they were young(&poor).
The thing is there is no scientific agreement that we have these instincts for male dominance. In the earliest societies it is though men & women may have been equal, anyway all wealth (the lasted piece of food usually) was shared, our closest primate relatives the Bonobo are female dominant, they actually use sex (& teaming up) to dominate the males, the existence of mascochistic men who like aggressive women ( I don't know how common this is 20%?) indicates the universality of male dominace is a myth, which I think is a good thing.
On the whole I see female dominace as a much more civilised thing than male dominance, although equality is a nice idea too.
Whatever the case human nature is highly elastic in this regard.
This thread had helped me clarify & develop my thoughts which were worrying me, thanks to all who commented, including criticisms.
