thanks for the responses. I have found a new place to live, still looking for a job...all my music gear is gone, so nothing i can do there till i can afford new stuff.

So it's about half doing something/half staring at the wall lol. I think the shock and protection system idea could be right on. I'm generally a negative person, at least to most...a glass half empty, or half full..has the same amount of liquid in it IMO, so maybe it's all just too much to handle at once.
