Well, if you are eating chocolate bars in particular, they contain theobromine, a chemical found in cocoa and chocolate. It is a mild stimulant and some research has been known to cause a mild addictive quality. No need to worry it is very mild and not worth seeing an addiction specialist about lol. But that explains why chocolate can both promote a feeling of "well" being and a supposed aphrodisiac (it's a mild stimulant). Just a little trivia.
On a personal note, I find that sugars digest easier for me when my stomach is nervous from anxiety so I eat more then maybe I should at times. But I to curb my cravings by eating fruit.
