I think one of the big things is... allow yourself to feel the way you do. Feelings can't hurt you... the way you respond to them can however. Do something with that energy. Be creative if you can, whether that be cooking or writing or singing or whittling (

being silly now). Seriously though, learning to deal with those feelings is a healthy way is what I suggest. If you can't then do everything you can to distract yourself till the fire cool offs and you can. In of you can;t do that reach out until someone can help you do the above.
