{{{{{{Sundance}}}}}You are as beautiful a person as your user name ....you speak eloquently & to the point...so here it comes again! (no, I haven't gotten my mouse fixed either) Keeping a journal is kept for many phases of your mind;

1)There's the deep involved..the kind most ppl mostly poo-poo on b/c they think you get overwhelmed, BUT sometimes that's what you want to do -- When the dazzling minds here at PC don't quite "get IT" --"Puking on paper"The things you JUST CAN'T write on/to PC...hey, it happens!

2) there's the creative kind; buy a bunch of different kind of colors (I swear I own every shade of pen they make & TYPES of pens -- calligraphygel/glitter;neon,etc)

3)Different notebooks for different types of writing.....I have a composition for my more serious writing....

(and to tell the truth as far as "to the gut writing(journaling)
I do now" I do it on the damn computer! IT keeps up to my brain, I even named it "Bessie")

Keep notebooks w/ cartoon strip characters on it for playful times (write about ONLY about the happy inner child inside you (she never left despite what ppl may say or what you may think),write about what did she do to have fun) If bad stuff creeps in, you have the power to tell to GET OUT b/c it doesn't belong there!!It'll go away!( I promise! It works for me every time!)

Keep mediocre notebooks with nice, warm colors that make you feel warm & plop down w/ a cup of coffee (or whatever) Make a to-do-list brainstorm style....shut the notebook for 20 minutes....open it & start crossing ******** stuff off.
Keep your favorite "positive quotes" in there. do some lightweight stuff in there (AND DON'T FORGET THE PENS)
You said you used to write small stories & such...great place!

I think you well have the idea, Sundance........ Most of our fellow readers have gone onto other posts....

I don't get out much, I'm a published writer, so I get over-excited (no %#@&#!) Take what you need, leave the rest..
