Hi
Actually, I may have been having these low-grade fevers longer than that because I did'nt use to take my temperature or go to the doctor all that often. Anyway, for many years, my temperature will be in the 97-98 range on a given day but then I'll either take my tempurature or go to the clinic and it will be 99.4 or on a few occassions even 100. I'm going to guess that I have these fevers at least a few times each day and they occur most often in the late afternoon and evening. Sometimes I'll just feel a little "under the weather" and it's then when my temp is often 99.4 or so.
This has been going on for a long time now and I've had just about every conceivable test known to mankind, over a period of many years and by a multitude of doctors and specialists. Everything always comes back "normal" (of course) but I do suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Reflux Disease (GERD), Lactose Intolerance, Chronic Sinusitis, Allergic Rhinitis, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Hypochondria, etc. I also drink from time to time, smoke on occassion and chew nicotine gum. I am a 43 year old male.
Does anyone know what could be causing these chronic, intermittent low-grade fevers and am I the only one here who has them?. Most of the doctors tell me that I probably just "run hot" which I don't think is true because when I have them, I feel under the weather. I've also been told that maybe it's my sinusitis. I'm perplexed and desparate for any help I can get at this point.
Thank you so much!!.
