I pick things I'm interested in when I study and try to relate them to the boring bits to make the boring bits interesting :-) or i pick a whole different way to look at the boring stuff. I'd probably be tempted to go to interesting financial sites, http://money.cnn.com/ http://fisher.osu.edu/fin/overview.htm http://www.finance.army.mil/ and read around, find things easier/more interesting to read about whatever areas the exam is on or see if I could get details I liked and would remember that I could use on the exam, in my answers, etc.
