So sorry you're going through a tough time, irish. When you typed that out, it was like looking in a mirror at myself. I too went from cutting/burning to getting tattoos and piercings (6 tattoos within 6 months and tongue and eyebrow piercing)... After I got all that done, I didn't have much money to get anything else done, so I figured why not cut my hair. My hair was past my shoulders and now it's a about up to my neck. I HATE it and wish I could go back to having my long beautiful hair. But I promise you, it'll grow back. May not grow back as fast as you'd want it to, but it'll grow.
