The small ones can be quite interesting. We wear a chain with an object that we can suck on for when they are out cause they want a pacifier. It also helps calm down the others as well! but the truth is they all come out on their own good time. Most of our did not come out until they known it was safe or someone was near to keep us safe. We encourage parts to come out by providing things that age group would like to do. For the longest time the night time was the loudest with the small ones. our bed at the time was majority stuff toys Each one to represent an adult that made them feel safe. But we also did coloring time and play time with kids stuff. I know for a fact that I started to play then one of the younger ones would take over lots of time. by giving safe time with other children also helped them to know that we were no longer in kansas so to speak. But this has to be done safely not only for you and your parts but for the children that you are with. The one thing that is true for both inner and otter children they learn the best from their own age group.That is why we did child care for so long. The kids loved it and we could act like kids and the other adult just thought we just be playing most of the time. Good luck!
