I am notorious for this, but it is because I am a perfectionist. As soon as one thing goes wrong, I want to bury my head in the sand and die of shame. If I can't do it right every time, why do it at all? I am just wasting everyone's time. etc. etc.

It really takes a lot for me to make a mis-step and then pick myself up and keep going. 9 times out of 10 I just run away hide for weeks.
