I think beauty pagents for little girls are truly sick. They're nothing less than child exploitation. It's mother's living out their sick fantasies through their kids. I remember in the summer when I was a kid, my Mom and I would spend two months at the cottage (My dad came up on weekends) I'd get up in the morning put on my swimsuit, and a pair of shorts and T shirt on over it, then it would be off for a day of adventure around the lake with the other kids. We'd bike, build forts, swim at will, play dodgeball. If it rained we played board games. We canoed. We got dirty. At night my Mom's idea of giving me a bath was tossing me back in the lake. It was healthy. I cherish the memories of my childhood summers, and wish every kid could have them.
