There is a new DNA test available that tests the effectiveness of your P450 enzyme that metabvolizes most of the psych drugs. I had it done, about $300.00, but it showed that I required more meds in order to get the effect because I had multiple markers for the protein. My Psych understood more than me of course, but after upping my dosages I began to feel much better. I have no insurance, so I didn't have any resistance in getting the test. Sure, I pay more for my health cost, and thats no good. But that is the only struggle I have now to get the proper care I need.......
