I am lucky my dad works just down the road from campus, so if I take it in the afternoon and feel incapable of functioning I can crash in the student lobby till he gets off work, we are going to ride home together just incase I get too drowsy to drive...

Is it odd for a pdoc to diagnoise an antipsychotic in the first appointment? It seemed a little odd and a bit extreme to me that she right off the bat prescribed me an antpsychotic. I am bipolar (offically diagnoised today) and I read in the instruction pamphlet that came with my samples it's used to treat bipolar disorder, but the info I read here in the drug information section, says it's for short term use, and should only be pescribed after other meds don't work, pdoc said she pescribed it to me because there is a history of heart dieases and diabetes in my family and this would be lower risk in agitating those condtions...

I am just very confused on the manner....
