Thanks for posting, jahrderglad. No one will know how different your life might have been if your father had taken you and your brother with him when he left. He certainly envisioned the hell he left behind for you. What he did is akin to the captain of a sinking vessel heading out in the last lifeboat leaving the others to manage as best they could.
