Coping With Disaster - Tips for Adults

http://www.nmha.org/reassurance/adulttips.cfm

Examples of some of the very helpful information online, much of what is said for children can help we adults too, and even if articles and sites seem to focus on one specific disaster, it will apply to most any.

This thread is helping me personally also, thank you.

Struck me that for folks that are poor and on a fixed income that arrives near first of month, this disaster came at a particularly bad time: end of month = no money.

I am low income, I am broke right now, but in another sense I am so very wealthy.

I have safe shelter and food and water. I have room to relax and be alone and be with others. I am so grateful.
