My Therapist (terrified me!) interacted with me - he listened to my feelings, my issues, my problems and used a helpful technic at first, but he didn't understand how ban my issues and fears were (are) and then started to threaten stronger technics that terrified me! I complained to my family doctor whom I was also see, he talked to my therapist and then he backed off and finally recommendeda psych as he realiezed my issues were beyond his capibility to help me any further.
A therapist should do more than just listen - he should be offering information, technics to help your situations. I don't think asking him why he isn't more forthcoming with information or help is out of line. My opinion only... He is being paid to help not just listen. My first psych was that way - she just listened and pushed pills at me. I finally left her and found a wonder psych who is/has helped me tremendously.
Keep us posted on what happens... Wishing you all the best.
