Here in WV, this morning's newspaper front page featured a big picture of a mother sitting on a bridge with 3 month old twins in a baby carrier. The little fellas were hugging each other, and that photo really hurt me to see! I think that picture impacted me more than all the news coverage so far. To think of those little helpless babies there on that hot bridge without food, water, diapers...It is heartbreaking. The article accompanying the picture did not address the plight of the mother, and there are thousands more like her, I'm sure. I feel so helpless and sad now.
