I get some homework sometimes. Like I'm supposed to be writing about my safe space, but I haven't really done it. Though I have thought about it.
My guess about your question isn't asking the reason that the person decided to attack you, but the reasons you might be telling yourself about why it happened. I know after I was attacked I told myself all sorts of distorted things about why it happened (ie for me one was... if I had been more aware of my surroundings then it wouldn't have happened. etc.) It may be your T wants to know what you are telling yourself about why it happened so that you can challenge any distorted thoughts.
