You must first love yourself before you can love others.

I've had very similar relationships with boyfriends as well. You just need to trust yourself if no one else. Trust your instincts even when you think they'll steer you wrong, they might be right in the end. You don't know until you try things, unfortunately all relationships are like this. I've had those moments of sheer doubt also but I try to calm myself down and think positively.
