Unfortunately, there is very, very little in the way of publicly funded mental health support, at least as far as my experience goes. The only way that I have been able to receive treatment was because my pdoc very kindly only charges me $10 a visit. If he charged his normal fee ($75 per 15 mins) I would never, ever be able to see him.

You could try doing a google search of your area and do something like "psychiatrist your town sliding scale" same with psychologist. Otherwise you are very likely to actually wait the 2 years and then be really disappointed with your care.
