I spoke to my step-mother yesterday about it. She used to be a principle of a school for children who have extended needs(hate using the word "special") and she also believed that D's behaviour can be addressed......even though there are learning and processing issues.....

Strange about the "struggle with maths" quote in one of those peices you provided......D was in the excellence class in mathematics
