bowdhi...Thank you for your service.
many of us have been out for a long time
but mentally/emotionally return
part of the combat ptsd package...
takes awhile to feel stateside
bit longer to feel safe and sane
our wars are different
our feelings are nearly the same
words may be old-fashioned...not what you might use
be patient with old timers,
yeah, different words same feelings
"how to live with this..."
another four letter word...T-I-M-E
counseling helps
so does contact with your brothers and sisters (fellow warriors)
it's a good combination
civilians don't understand
no matter how much they love you
long as they see you trying to take care of yourself?
it will be more peaceful
when ya get used to holding everything inside
it's a given
it's gonna take time to let any of it out
protects you, protects them
reason why it's important
to lean on those who have been to hell and back
posting here is a good first step
thank you for reaching out
keep posting
even if all you say is FI
we know
we know what you are saying
In Peace
