Siblings from a broken home that have never meet often desire to hook up with their lost brother or sister... and while they may have hurt feelings towrad the parent that left them they usualy do not hold the fathers short coming against the other sibling (which were kids just like they were when the parents left).

I am fourty-two years old and my parents got divorced when I was just one years old and my dad married again and started a whole entire family with out his old family... but I still love to visit with my half brothers and sister (and) I would like to meet up with a new brother I just found out about... he is sixteen and came about from a short term relationship my father had long after his second marriage ended in divorce.
