Buspar does nothing for me. I think its purpose is to work as a long term agent that keeps the risk of developing anxiety symptoms down. It doesn't have the immediate effect that benzos do. But benzos are bad to get hooked on. They are a controlled substance in the US. And if you run out from taking more than the prescribed amount, you could be in a bad situation having to deal with withdrawal.
