This may just be the opportunity you need to make some huge changes in your life & see everything in a new light along with your husband being able to make a huge difference in children's lives where they are desperately in need. Just have to be open to all possibilities in economic times like this. The number of choices are few, but the choices that are there are the important ones that are really in need. Just takes more searching & planning, but sounds like great opportunities are there. If you can refi your house & rent it out until the market goes up & makes that more saleable, then you can move to where housing costs less also.

Sounds to me like this may end up being a wonderful opportunity rather than a disaster.
