I think you would be able to figure it out best by seeing a doctor or therapist. I'm pretty sure any doctor will be able to talk to you about this, next time you get the chance to see a real doctor, if your mom won't let you talk to a therapist.

However, in my experience, medicine is not what I would want for anybody. I am almost 17, and I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was about 7. I never actually had a therapist, but for me, taking the medicine actually seemed to change me.

I feel like I became someone different... when I'm on medication I feel spacy... It's almost like I'm zoned out but my mind becomes completely empty. I would suggest only therapy, if you do actually have ADHD/ADD, and not taking medication because, just personally, I prefer being myself and not taking my medicine at all, and the medicine actually seemed to change who I am, both when I take it and when I don't. When I don't take it, I think I actually have worse ADHD/ADD problems than before I was ever diagnosed, a possible effect from the medicine.

I'm just letting you know from my personal experience, and what I would do because of how it all went for me.
