Personally, not legalizing it seems dumb to me. There are billions made on the illegal sale of a drug that, I'm sorry, but it's not a gateway drug. You can sell alcohol which has much more longterm and immediate effects than marijuana does.

Not to mention that people in prison for the possession or sale of drugs are in there, on our tax dollars, for something so frivolous. In Ohio, my brother was pulled over by the cops and they found a bowl in his car and scraped out the resin to get him on possession! Come on. Thats our tax dollars at work for my brother who smokes on occassion.

It would make the government money, it would make it safer to buy and sell and cut down on crime caused by it, it would create jobs, it would take millions of people out of prison which would make the gov't money. Not to mention the fact that the penal system takes small time criminals and hardens them. So people that spend time in jail for something small like possession have that on their record making it harder to find a job or get an education and leading them BACK into a life of crime. It has been proven that rehabilitation works better for criminals in drugs rather than violence so all around, to me at least, it just makes sense. I honestly do not see a negative side to it.
Thanks for this!
