I am surprised that they do surgery for a DS. I broke my nose (or rather my horse broke my nose) when my horse threw his head into the air & whacked my nose......it bled for over 45 minutes without stoping. I really didn't bother with it at the time (several years ago).
When I was in the hospital last summer with my bronchitis/asthma attack, they did a CT & the DS was found at that time......I guess it must have healed straight enough not to need surgery......I was very scared when they found it, thinking they might suggest surgery......luckily it wasn't that bad.
I hope it all works out for you......hopefully it will clear up by itself with the help of the treatment they have you on.
