Hi googley,

Lots of anti-psychotic meds do cause a decrease in appetite. In my experience, just because the med doesn't list decreased appetite as a possible side effect does not mean that it isn't a side effect. Different people react differently to same medications.

There are other possibilities in the decreased appetite though. Depression immediately jumps into my mind as possible cause. Major depression can cause lots of people to avoid eating. Some people overeat with major depression. You have noticed a difference in appetite since beginning the medication...write down the other things you've noticed, and call your doctor's office to let them know.

The doctor may call you and want to change meds, or say that it's probably a side effect. But, let the doctor know, so he/she can determine the probable cause.

Hope that you're feeling well besides that low appetite ~ best wishes to you!
