Just wanted to say that I did read somewhere-- darn it- I can't recall which website-- but I thought they announced that " complex " PTSD will be added to the DSM -- I think it said in 2006. ( if I find it again, I will post it)

It's also my understanding that it involves repeated/ongoing trauma that one is subjected to by another person/persons. As a child there could be any number of situations since children are so dependant on adults-- but it's my understanding that as an adult it would only be in a captive situation-- like concentration camps or being held hostage for days-- that kind of thing, where one is not allowed to make any decisions for him/herself. I believe those situations are what brings about "complex-PTSD ".
