The US has dealt with quite a bit of disaster. We are not really "new to this kind of thing". The government really dropped the ball. It is awful what the people of New Orleans have had to go through.

As far as the news goes, the conservatives are just as bad as the liberals. There is no such thing as impartiality anymore.

All we can do now is pray for and help the survivors. We can't change the mistakes that were made. Hopefully the government can investigate and be more prepared for the future.
