Well, I put the described symptoms into WebMD, and nearly all of them told me to "seek medical help immediately". But, most if not all of the possible illnesses were treatable if not curable. Doctors and nurses have ways of dealing with people who are afraid of needles. And being afraid of hospitals is no reason to go ahead and die.

What exactly do you mean by "heart failure" and "blood in vomit"? Is he having chest pains? Are they a stabbing pain or a pressure? Is it in a specific area (left or right side of chest)? Is it hard for him to breath? Is he having heart palpitations? Is the heartbeat slow or fast, strong or weak? Or does he just feel generally weak? What does the vomit look like? Is it excessive or just small strains? Is it thick or thin, bright or dark? Does he have abdominal pains? If so, are they in the upper or lower abdomen? Has he lost his appetite? Have you noticed rapid weight loss? Does he have nausea? Any other symptoms that may be useful?
