Can you ask him to wait in the waiting room? My husband drove me to my last appointment and went in with me. I wish I had asked him to wait outside. He likes to fix things - including me. Every time the therapist asked a question, he answered. I asked him (right then and there) to please let me speak...he would, but then he'd interrupt...like I wasn't capable of expressing myself. It was a little frustrating. He meant well, but...
