I totally know what you mean. I am mostly obsessive, but I have some compulsions in my life (such as checking to make sure I haven't lost anything), and it's very distressing. The worries feel very real. And personally, I couldn't get better without any professional help. Are you seeing a therapist? Because the specialized therapy for those with OCD...it's AMAZING. It saved my life, really. You get to learn the techniques in order to overcome your obsessions/compulsions. Have you ever heard of ERP?

You mention that you're starting to think your OCD is true. I think we all go through this....but it's not. It never is. It took me 5 hospital visits...being fooled several times, to realize this. OCD is VERY tricky, but please try to remember that it's never true.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. OCD really is a pain in the butt.
