Hi, I don't quite know where to put this question so I thought I'd start here. I am disabled with PTSD, Depression, Anxiety and Insomnia.
I am struggling with my son who has some definite issues that seem to be hurting the whole family.
My son is 6 years old, he's a bright boy who is doing wonderful in school, he's the middle child. When he was 3, I went through a medical error during surgery that turned our world upside down and ruined life as we knew it. We have had 3 years of hell. He has a younger brother (4) and an older one (14), he cannot get along with either sibling, gets physical with the little one and calls names to the big one. he disrespects my husband and I, gets very easily angered and irate over trivial things

. I have never had any issues with him at school (like getting bad grades, getting into fights, not paying attention in the class) but at home his behavior is horrendous. He does not listen, needs telling 5-6 times before he does as he is told, bounces all over the couch. I do not want to label him and know that he needs to be seen professionally to be given a proper evaluation but I just wanted to see if any other parents of children with 'issues' can offer any insight or share their difficulties in parenting difficult children and at what step did you seek T/Doc help.
Thanks.
