I do not like skunks. They are very often rabid here. Last spring at this time I had one chase me and my dog in the middle of the day. He was a clever bugger too. I don’t know if he knew our route based upon the dog’s sent, but at one point I thought we’d lost him, only to have him return in front of us. We were running on the road, the skunk cut across the lawns of the houses to appear in front of us on the top of the hill. Luckily a man had seen the whole thing and drove up to us in his van, blew his horn and scared it off. We both called animal control.
