Try going on the Illinois government webpage and see if there's anything that allows you to have a temporary plate for those two weeks. Kind of like when someone just buys a car from the dealer and they have that piece of paper in their back window with the expiration date on it. It's either the government webpage or whoever is in charge of the highways and drivers' licenses in your state. Like here in Pennsylvania, we have Penndot.
