Looks like the max dosage is 375 mg. But for most of the disorders, it says that 225 mg would be sufficient......
and this is why my insurance never wants to cover it, because I take more than the "recommended" dosage.....
I know a lot of people experience side effects on the lower dosages, but around the 225 mg mark, they don't seem to be as bad.
The one bad thing about Effexor XR is that, it might stick with you forever. Especially at the higher dosages. I did do the switch to Pristique the year before last, but that was too expensive for the insurance company, and I was on a higher dosage than recommended, so after about 3 months of that, they totally decided to stop covering it, so I had to go back to Effexor XR. booo....
I do find that when I do miss a dose, there's the possibility of myself going completely insane, then when I miss 2+ dosages, I'm usually out of commission for about a week. Not cool. Make sure you get your prescription filled a couple days ahead of when you actually need it.
