Yes, I agree with the others - I've had to change psychiatrists several times for different reasons, I think they have patients swapping all the time. In fact when I moved to the town I am in 18 months ago I started with a particular psych. He can be grumpy and aggressive sometimes, and I was VERY ill, so I left him and went to another guy. That totally didn't work out so I went back to the first guy - no problem, no "guilts" put on me. And it turns out he's the best psych I've ever had. So taking risks, within a reasonable context, is definitely within our favour. And you have been with your psych for a long time - it's not like you're just jumping from one to the other on a slim pretext. You'll do great.
