Hi Jennie

I think the snacking diet has been discredited as it leads to constant grazing and also isn't good for the teeth. Being disciplined to the point of eating only three times a day is a good way to go, and trying not to eat after, say, 7 o'clock in the evening. I found this very helpful. Of course the fat is still waiting to go on at any time, so I keep a watchful eye on my intake, but do not actually count calories. Instead I avoid anything high fat or added sugar. I try to eat a balanced healthy diet, as you mentioned, but if we feel really peckish we can nibble celery or other low-cal green foods. My appetite has been under control for the past 15 years now, after 20 years in the wilderness. I always look back on that as a complete waste of my life.

Cheers, JuneB
