I think it depends on the person and might only help for minor not clinical depression, But don't stop taking it because as the other poster said - it's good for your heart and brain - helps with concentration and beautiful skin. Make sure it's a good quality fish oil and not one that might have bad things in it. I also recommend taking 1,000 mg of Vit D - most people are deficient and there are new recommendations now. You can also get fish oil the natural way by eating salmon or if you like sardines/oysters.
