It makes total sense to me. It's a symptom of dissociation. It's actually one of the questions asked on the dissociative experiences scale index Dx questionnaire.
I often look in the mirror and feel like I'm not recognizing myself.
It's kind of disconcerting, but I've learned to live with it.
