I struggle with this problem too. Knowing too much. Then everybody just expects for you to do it, since you actually know what is going on. Unlike the rest of the people you work with, who only know the basic skills required for their job.
I just enjoy knowing how things work, and I do a lot of research to accomplish this. Most of the time it's when I'm hypo-manic, because I just feel like doing something, and if it helps me progress at my job, I'm all for it.
Plus, I hope to get the hell out of here one day, and actually go work for a company that will actually pay me enough for what I do.
