Yeah, he makes it a point to not eat a lot of salty foods and besides his 1 cup of coffee in the morning all he drinks is water. If he gets tea it's unsweetened. And he will have a gatorade every now and then. His breakfast is either granola or oatmeal. Lunch is usually a turkey sandwich and then we started cooking gluten free meals for him for dinner. So he actually eats super healthy. And he does lift but he runs about 4 miles everyday before he lifts and he doesn't do super heavy weights, he does light weights at fast reps so it's not like body builder type lifting.

He asked about diabetes because that was the first thing that popped into my head. His doc said he prob isn't diabetic because he is gaining weight, not losing it. So that points more to problems with his thyroid. And he does have some other symptoms of hypothyroidism.

His dad found out he has hypothyroidism.....once he reached 350 lbs. I just told him its better to find out now when he is only a little overweight rather than get to his dad's position where he can't even walk down the street anymore. I know I shouldn't worry but I can't help it. Thanks for your support, guys.
