Hey there,

It makes me sad to hear that you can't open up to someone else about your struggles. Therapy is a major part of treating OCD, and medication is a smaller part of it. As hard as it is to believe, those "weird" obsessions going on in your head are experienced by EVERYONE! It's just...people like us feel really guilty about our "bad" thoughts.

Therapy saved my life. I learned the coping techniques necessary to handle my OCD. It never did cure me (I don't think OCD can really be "cured") but it was extremely helpful. I learned that thoughts are simply thoughts, and the issue is not what we're thinking, but how we react to it. As for medication, it made things worse for me. (However, medication depends on the person. Everyone is different).

If you ever want to chat with me, feel free to send me a PM.
