Hi Ozzie!

That post reminded me how terribly abusive my parents were to me. I'll never forget my mother giving me a black eye just because I left a couple of wrinkles in her shirt.(I had just ironed it.) I was not even allowed to put ice on it. Terrible cruelty..that never leaves me.

The closest thing to an apology happened a few years ago..when she said that she had nightmares of how she treated me growing up.

That was not an apology, in my book. Everyone thought she was this wonderful mother. But unfortunately they did not see what happened behind closed doors.

I have seen quite a bit of abuse, particularly in stores. My hearts aches for these children. They are so fragile. Parents need to consider that.
