So walking 10,000 steps a day for 3 weeks will take off 53 pounds? Right! Now that is going to be some power walking for sure.

My suggestion is to ask your doctor to refer you to a psychiatrist for an evaluation and appropriate treatment. I recognize Mom may not agree, but general practitioners are not the experts here.

Walking five to six miles a day is a good bit of exercise, and will not hurt you, but it is not the treatment you seek.
