Grizmom you hit the nail on the head!
When in a deep depression, I *want* to be alone. What I need is not always that, as loneliness feeds the problem. I ultimatly enjoy when people come around, but do not dwell on the depression, or try to make it better. What really helps is when people listen, and do not judge or try to offer suggestions.
Once again it does depend on your relationship to the person.. for example my brother can be a bit more pushy, but he also knows when to back off.. or just give a hug.
Sometimes it helps just knowing that someone wants you around.
